As for the quantity of the space, the couple were willing to consider combined kitchen, dining, and living area, if we could create a closed utility space where all the Indian tadkas or deep fried dishes coupld be prepared. So, by reducing the quantity of the space by atleast 500 sq. ft., more of their budget went to the character of the house. With it’s front facade, the house looks substantially bigger than its 2350 sq.ft. ground floor area. The one variable where the clients were not willing to compromise any cost on was CHARACTER- the quality of interior space. For this couple, the quality was not connected with high-end materials but in how the materials were used.
